Past Projects

AliveGen

The long-term goals of this research are to find out if ALG-801 can help men who experience muscle and bone loss due to aging or as a result of having had prostate cancer.

OPTIMen

As men grow older, they experience tiredness, decreased strength and difficulty with daily tasks such as climbing stairs and carrying grocery bags. Aging is also accompanied by a decrease in protein intake in the diet.

The purpose of this study is to understand if a balanced diet or testosterone can improve these age-related changes.

ReGen

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effects of the drug REGN1033 on the muscle, lean body and fat mass. We want to learn whether REGN1033 is safe to take without causing too many side effects. We are studying REGN1033 to see if it may help with muscle wasting (loss of muscle mass) diseases.

SARM-PC

This study may help researchers to better understand LY SARM as an alternative to testosterone therapy in men with prostate cancer. This could help lead to the development of therapies that could help men with prostate cancer in the future.

MATCH

The purpose of this study is to see if people with HIV infection are developing muscle fibrosis at a younger age and whether this might be because of the inflammation associated with infection.

SBIR

We are doing this research study to help validate and set standards for measuring free testosterone and other hormones in men and women.  The study may help to improve diagnosis and treatment of patients with hormone disorders
