Study Coordinator
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of testosterone replacement therapy in men age 40 and older, who have undergone prostate removal for prostate cancer and are considered cured. Investigators are studying whether testosterone replacement therapy is beneficial and safe in improving sexual function, health related quality of life, muscle mass and muscle strength.
Men who have undergone prostate removal for prostate cancer often experience sexual dysfunction, physical dysfunction, and low energy which are important contributors to quality of life. Testosterone replacement therapy may improve these symptoms in prostate cancer survivors, and ultimately, improve their qualify of life.
The research hopes to determine the safety and efficacy of Testosterone replacement therapy in improving sexual function in men who have undergone radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer.
